Allen Bailey

Mark Allen Bailey, 64, of Flatwoods, KY, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2019, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY. Mr. Bailey was born June 6, 1955, in Portsmouth, OH to Stella “Ted” M. Branham Bailey of Flatwoods, KY and the late Homer Virgil “Doc” Bailey. Mr. Bailey was a 1974 graduate of Russell High School, went to Ashland Community and Technical College where he earned a bachelor’s degree, and attended University of Louisville. Allen was a Newspaper Delivery Driver for the Ashland Daily Independent and joined the Holy Family Catholic Church. In addition to his mother, Mr. Bailey is survived by three brothers, Dean S. Bailey of Flatwoods, KY, Kevin R. (Tammy) Bailey of St. Cloud, FL, and Jack B. Bailey of Ashland, KY; and a host of extended family and friends. Per the family’s request, a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. The family has entrusted Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY with the arrangements.
