Amy Evelyn Wells

Amy Evelyn Wells, 63, of Ashland, left this life and entered into Heaven on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at her residence, while surrounded by family and friends. Mrs. Wells was born in Huntington, WV, of the late Williams Thomas Fields and the late Betty Withrow Thompson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Alan Wells. Evelyn was a devoted mother, grandmother, and Christian. Evelyn was one that always thought and took care of others before her own personal needs.  She was a member of Bear Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church in Catlettsburg, KY, where she enjoyed teaching her Sunday School Class. Mrs. Wells had attended Paul G. Blazer High School and ACC. She is survived by her loving daughter: Karla Sue Wells Mace and her husband, Murray, of Parkersburg, WV, four grandchildren: Kamuron B., Madison P., Kaitlyn B., and McKenna J., all residing at home.  She is also survived by her siblings: William Thomas Fields, Danny Fields, and Linda Gates all of Ohio, and Carol Ann Thompson Miller; and a host of friends, who will miss her vibrant smile and sparkling personality. The funeral will be at 11 am on Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY with Pastor Mike Moore and Bro. Jim Evans officiating.  Burial will follow in Dixon Cemetery in Ashland, KY. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 pm on Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at the funeral home.
