Barbara Sue Daniel Tackett

Barbara Sue Daniel Tackett, 73, of Mineral, VA, formerly of Flatwoods, KY, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2013, at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center in Spotsylvania, VA. Mrs. Tackett was born December 2, 1939, in Boldman, KY, a daughter of the late Harry Daniel, Sr. and Gladah Lockhart Daniel.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Dwaine Tackett; two brothers:  Gene Daniel and Emory David Daniel; and three sisters:  Joan Williams, Thelma Daniel, and Mary Salyers. She was an office manager for a water utility company and a country music singer for “Barbara and Erik Sings.” She was of the Methodist Faith, a member of Order of the Eastern Star, and a graduate of Central Florida Community College with a degree in business administration. Mrs. Tackett is survived by four daughters:  Kimberly Lynne (Mark) Tolin of Macclenny, FL, Lori Ann Ward of Hagerstown, MD, Leah Jean “Deedle” (Dave) Manning of Macclenny, FL, and Dawn Alise (Bryan) McClure of Mineral, VA.  Also surviving is a brother, Harry Daniel Jr. of Fort Lauderdale, FL, eleven grandchildren:  Mark Tolin Jr., Bradly Alan Tolin, Amy Lynne Tolin, Jason Michael Tolin, Christy Marie Swafford, Donna Marie McSpadden, Richard Matthew McSpadden, Kyle Dwaine Daniels, Amanda Nicole Daniels, Amber Renee Sullivan, and Zachary Nathan Roepenack; and seventeen great grandchildren plus two great grandchildren on the way. The funeral will be at 11 AM on Thursday October 24, 2013 at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY with Rev. Patricia Hoeksema officiating.  Burial will follow in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods, KY.
