Barry Eugene Hager, 65, of Kitts Hill, OH passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. Mr. Hager was born October 29, 1952 in Ashland, KY, a son of Geraldine Frye Hager and the late Bill Eugene Hager. Mr. Hager was an Ironworker with Local 769 in Ashland, KY, a member and chaplain of Union Iron Workers Motorcycle Club. He owned Harry’s Pottery and enjoyed making people laugh and smile. He was the bass player for County Road 6 Band. He was a mason with the Waterloo Masonic Lodge #532 F&AM and was a member of El Hasa Shriners in Ashland, KY. He was a 1970 graduate of Boyd County High School and served his country in the Army National Guard. He enjoyed going to UK games. He cherished teaching and playing music with Dakota and Sebastian, and watching Kayson play football. He was of the Christian faith. In addition to his mother, Mr. Hager is survived by his three daughters, Shelley (Steve) Holt of Ashland, KY, Christen Leah (Mitch) Adkins of Kitts Hill, OH and Candida (Brett) Doubikin of Cardington, OH; six grandchildren: Dakota and Sebastian Holt, Tesla McDowell, Kayson, Adyson, and Cohen Adkins; two great grandchildren, J.C. and Jaxon York; one brother, Bryan Hager of Ashland, KY; four sisters: Sharon Roberts of Franklin Furnace, OH, Vickie Lawrence of Charlotte, NC, Carol Hutchinson of Greenup, KY, Patty Woods of Russell, KY; a special cousin, Terry Hager; and a host of extended family and friends. Funeral service will be at 2 P.M. on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY with Pastor Lenny Campbell officiating. Visitation will be from 12 P.M. until time of service on Sunday at the funeral home. Condolences can be expressed at baileyfamilyfuneralhome.com
