Bessie Marie Burchwell

Bessie Marie Burchwell Fields, 85, of Flatwoods, KY went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Kingsbrook Lifecare Center. Bessie was born May 16, 1931 in Greenup, KY to the late Albert and Dovie Rowe Burchwell. She was one of eleven siblings.  She was a member of Pentecostal Holiness Tabernacle of Flatwoods.   She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wetzel Fields, a son, Paul Stephen Fields, and a granddaughter, Faith Fields Clay.   She is survived by her children, Charles (Mike) Fields and his wife, Patty, of Ashland, David Fields and his wife, Sallie, of Flatwoods, Judy Fields Adams of Ashland, and John Fields of Flatwoods; a brother, Curtis Burchwell and his wife, Bonnie, of Flatwoods; two sisters, Sylvia Dehart of Louisville, Ohio and Nancy Bryan and her husband, Bill, of Raceland; her grandchildren, Jeremy Fields and his wife, Virginia, Ramona Fields Meyer and her husband, Greg, Chad Fields and his wife, Amanda, Taylor Adams, and Tanner Adams; and her great grandchildren, Zoie Clay, Kyla Spaulding, Belle Fields, Claire Fields, Liam Fields, Beckett Fields and Wyatt Fields; and a host of extended family and friends whom she loved.   The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY with her nephew, Robbie Jordan and Pastor Lloyd L. Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Russell, KY.
