Betty Lou Kinner

Betty Lou Fryer Kinner, 81, of Ashland, KY, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY, surrounded by her loved ones.

Betty was born March 9, 1943, in Boyd County, KY, to the late Willis Fryer and Bessie Halley Fryer.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband, Billy Gene Kinner; her brother, James “Bud” Fryer and his wife Sharon; and a great-granddaughter, Summer Ann.

Betty worked at McDonald’s from 1987 to 2009. She loved her Diet Pepsi, sweets, and family. She attended Liberty Baptist Church in Cannonsburg, KY. 

Betty is survived by her four sons, James (Jessica) Kinner of Portsmouth, OH, Billy Jay Kinner of Flatwoods, KY, Jason (Natalie) Kinner of Winchester, KY, and Michael (Tana) Kinner of Russell, KY; two daughters, Cheryl and Paul of Grayson, KY and Lenora Bradley of Flatwoods, KY; fourteen grandchildren: Elizabeth (Thomas) Crawford, Jordan (Heather) Kinner, Allyson Kinner, Aiden Kinner, Simon Kinner, Andrea (Paul) Hensley, Gabriel Kinner, Christopher Kinner, Candice Bradley, Sandra Jarvis, Robin (Josh) Kerns, Dova Christian, Crystal Mickalls, and Brittany Mickalls; thirteen great-grandchildren: Bryson, Cayson, Logan M., Katherine, Logan, Paul S., William M., Louann, Arron, Jacob, Shania, Raven, and Samantha; a special aunt, Cindy Prince and her son Larry; and a host of extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at noon on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY, with Bro. Kenny Sexton officiating. Burial will follow at Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland, KY. 

Visitation will be one hour before the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
