Bonnie Lou Fields

Bonnie Lou Griffith Fields, 91, of Flatwoods, KY, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, August 27, 2023, at the Willows of Hamburg in Lexington, KY.

Mrs. Fields was born June 3, 1932, in Flatwoods, KY, to her late (father) John Fredrick Griffith and Edna England Griffith.

In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, William Earl “Bud” Fields; three brothers: Clyde Griffith, Robert Griffith, and Tracey Griffith; and four sisters: Freddie Clark, Georgia Hall, Ruth Diedrich, and Madeline Fish.

Mrs. Fields was a homemaker who dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Christ in Flatwoods, KY.

Bonnie is survived by her son, Philip A. (Brenda) Fields of Russell, KY; a daughter, Vicki (Larry) Butler of Nicholasville, KY; five grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at Noon on Friday, September 1, 2023, at First Pentecostal Church of Christ (1110 Bellefonte Rd, Flatwoods, KY 41139) with Pastor Shane Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Russell, KY.

Visitation will be from 10 A.M. until the time of the service on Friday at the church.
