Carla Faye Schwab Oney

Carla Faye Schwab Oney, 67, of Flatwoods, KY, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at her home surrounded by her loved ones.Mrs. Oney was born November 22, 1951, in Ironton, OH to the late Charles Schwab and Mary Bragg Schwab Whitt.In addition to her parents, Mrs. Oney was proceeded in death by two brothers, Roger and David Schwab, and a granddaughter, Emily Clark.Mrs. Oney was a 1969 graduate of Ironton High School. She worked for the Russell Independent School System for 21 years and was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Tabernacle in Flatwoods, KY for many years.Mrs. Oney is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Mike Oney of Flatwoods, KY; two sons, Chris (Terra) Oney of Huntington, WV and Jeremy (Johnda) Oney of Flatwoods, KY; seven grandchildren: Cameron (Jordan), Chandler, Lydia, Andrew, Payden, Brailey Oney, and Parker Clark; one great-grandchild, Baylee Grace; one sister, Jane (Steve) Vance of Columbus, OH; and a host of extended family and friends.A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, October 21, 2019, at Pentecostal Holiness Tabernacle in Flatwood, KY with Pastor Lloyd L. Bailey and Rev. Jason A. Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods, KY.Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the church.The family has entrusted Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY with the arrangements.A special thank you to Blake, Teressa, Bonnie, and the rest of the staff at Community Hospice.
