Carmen Crow Obituary Long-time Charleston resident Carmen Crow passed away February 8, 2014 at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY after a long struggle with COPD and congestive heart disease.  She was 88. Carmen was born in Norfork, AR on September 15, 1925 to James Marcy Wilson and Ethel Maye (Ellis) Wilson.   She has been a resident of the Trinity Station retirement community in Flatwoods, KY since 2003. Carmen was a loving wife, homemaker, and doting mother to her two children, Mike Crow and Lisa (Crow) Huff.  She was an avid Contract Bridge player during her years in Charleston, becoming a certified Director and a Life Master in the ACBL.  She made many new friends during her years at Trinity Station (including a new boyfriend at the age of 86) and enjoyed spending time with her daughter, Lisa, granddaughter, Kaeli, and son-in-law, Butch Huff, and his wonderful family. Carmen is preceded in death by her parents, James Marcy and Ethel Mae (Ellis) Wilson of Baxter County, AR; husband, Carl Crow; brothers Kermit, Hayes, Vernon, and William “T.W.” Wilson, and twin sisters Nellie and Rosalie.  She is survived by one brother, Colbert Wilson of Mountain Home, AR; son, Michael Crow, daughter-in-law, Michelle Burdick, and their children William and Katherine Burdick-Crow of Cary, NC; daughter, Lisa, and son-in-law, Butch Huff, and their daughter, Kaeli Huff, of Ironton, OH; and nieces and nephews nationwide. Services will be held at Bailey Family Funeral Home, Flatwoods, KY (www.baileyfamilyfuneralhome.com) on Sunday February 9 at 2:00 PM, visitation from 12-2. Minister J R Gullett will be officiating at the funeral. Final interment will be at Tyler Mountain Memory Garden, Cross Lanes (family only please). In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Community Hospice, 1538 Central Ave, Ashland, KY, 41101 or your local Hospice organization.
