Cecilia "Cece" Leigh Jones

Cecilia “Cece” Leigh Wiss Jones, 60, of Ashland, KY, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024.

Cece was born on January 25, 1964, in Southern California to the late Donald “Bill” Wiss and Darlene Furtak.

In addition to her parents, Cece was preceded in death by her stepfather, Edward Furtak; and three siblings: Michael, Susan, and Helen.

Cecilia worked as a SRNA for Woodland Oaks and for A Brighter Future, both in Ashland, KY.  She was strong-willed and a little stubborn at times, but she had an enormous heart. She loved her two sons and three grandsons unconditionally. Her departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound; her passing is gravely felt by her entire family and countless others who loved her deeply.

She is survived by her two sons, Bradlee (Sarah) Jones of Boyd County, KY, and Matthew (Taulara) Jones of Ashland, KY; three grandsons: Isaiah, Gavin, and Aiden; three brothers, David (Margie) Wiss of Waxahachie, TX, Brian (Christine) Wiss of Derby, KS, and Shane (Terri) Wiss of Phoenix, AZ; a sister, Roxanne (“J”) Almager of Highland, CA; and a host of extended family and friends.

The family plans to honor Cece at a later date and has entrusted Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY with the arrangements.
