Charles F. Riffe, 73, of Flatwoods, KY went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 31, 2014 at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, KY. Mr. Riffe was born April 27, 1940 in Ashland, KY, a son of the late Willard and Lena White Riffe.  He was also preceded in death by a son, Charles Willard “Will” Riffe. Mr. Riffe was a “pony driver,” which is a mail carrier with American Electric Power.  He was a member of First Apostolic Church in Flatwoods, KY, and a 1958 Russell High School graduate. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Leosa Willis Riffe; a son, Fredrick Allen (Lisa) Riffe of Flatwoods, KY; a daughter, Melissa (Wayne) Ann Riffe Nelson of Flatwoods, KY; a brother, John (Doris) Riffe of Flatwoods, KY; a sister, Leona Williams of Flatwoods, KY; six grandchildren:  Brittany Nelson, Brianna Howard, Tawana Elkins, Carrie Riffe, Lexie Riffe, and Zach Smith; three great grandchildren: Gracie Elkins, Faith Elkins, and Brayden Riffe. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY, with Pastor Harold McKenzie officiating.
