Danny Eugene Boyles

Danny Eugene Boyles, 73, of Flatwoods, KY, passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. Mr. Boyles was born on December 22, 1947, in Ironton, OH to the late Paul Boyles and Bonnie McKenzie Rayburn. In addition to his parents, Mr. Boyles was preceded in death by his wife, Sheila Woodall Boyles and grandson, Brennan Haggard. Mr. Boyles was a foreman and machinist at CSX Transportation. He enjoyed playing the role of Santa Claus for his grandchildren and local community. He loved to sing on the worship team at Flatwoods First Pentecostal Church in Flatwoods, KY where he was a member. Mr. Boyles is survived by his two daughters, Dr. Amy Kathleen (Christopher) Midkiff of Lexington, KY and Mary Elizabeth (Chad) Haggard of Wurtland, KY; five grandchildren: Matthew Haggard, McKenzie Haggard, Lindsey Midkiff, AJ Haggard, and Jack Midkiff; a brother, Earl “Shorty” Boyles of Lexington, KY; and a host of extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Flatwoods First Pentecostal Church (1110 Bellefonte Rd, Flatwoods, KY 41139) with Pastor Shane Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Bellefonte Memorial Garden in Russell, KY. Visitation will be from 11 A.M. – 1 P.M. on Tuesday at the church.
