David Michael Ferguson

David Michael “Mike” Ferguson, 69, of Flatwoods, KY, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loved ones.

Mr. Ferguson was born on July 26, 1953, in Ashland, KY, to the late George Ferguson and Mabyn Riffe Hopkins.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his loving wife of thirty-nine years, Gloria Ferguson; his brother, George Ray Ferguson; and his stepfather, George Hopkins.

Mike was a Brick Layer and Allied Craftsman for BAC Local #7. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #892 in Ashland, KY, and #701 in Ironton, OH as well as the American Legion Post 325. He was a 1971 graduate of Paul Blazer High School.

Mr. Ferguson is survived by his three sons, Joshua (Lamista) Huff of Flatwoods, KY, Matt (Erin) Ferguson and Jesse (Coy) Ferguson both of Sacramento, CA; six grandchildren: Hallie (Brad Chapman) Huff of Louisville, KY, Danerys Huff, Jacob Huff, Carter Ferguson, Camden Ferguson, and Charlotte Ferguson; one great-grandchild, Finnegan Chapman; and a host of extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 11 A.M. – 1 P.M. on Friday, June 16, 2023, at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY to celebrate the lives of Mike and Gloria Ferguson.

A private graveside service will be held at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Russell, KY.
