David Wetzel Fields

David Wetzel Fields, 70, of Flatwoods, KY, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at his residence.

Mr. Fields was born December 21, 1952, in Ironton, OH to the late Wetzel and Bessie Burchwell Fields.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sallie Ellen Stewart Fields; a daughter, Faith Kristen Clay; and a brother, Paul Fields.

David was a self-employed construction worker for Fields Construction and a 1970 graduate of Wurtland High School in Wurtland, KY. He loved his dogs and watching sports and was an avid traveler with his family. He was a member of Raceland First Assembly of God in Raceland, KY.

Mr. Fields is survived by his son, Jeremy (Virginia) Fields of Lexington, KY; two daughters, Ramona (Greg) Meyer of Antioch, IL and Isabella “Belle” Fields of Flatwoods, KY; six grandchildren: Zoie Ellen Clay, Kyla Spaulding, Liam Fields, Wyatt Fields, Beckett Fields, and Milo Meyer; two brothers, Mike “Charles” (Patty) Fields of Ashland, KY and John Fields of Flatwoods, KY; his sister, Judy Adams of Ashland, KY; and a host of extended family and friends including his bonus children and grandchildren that he loved dearly.

A funeral service will be held at noon on Monday, October 30, 2023, at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY, with Pastor James Wells officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland, KY.

Visitation will be one hour before the services on Monday at the funeral home.
