David Lee Mullins

David Lee Mullins, 62, of Avon Park, FL, formerly of Carter County, Ky, passed away on October 24, 2013, at his residence in Avon Park, FL. Mr. Mullins was born July 24, 1951 in Bear Creek, KY, a son of the late Edgar and Bernice Hensley Mullins.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Paul Mullins. Mr. Mullins was a tree trimmer for Terry Maddox Tree Service in Ashland, KY, and a grounds keeper for Pinecrest Golf Course in Avon Park, FL. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and country music.  He also enjoyed working and being outdoors. He is survived by his wife of thirty three years, Shirley Gipson Mullins; four daughters:  Jessica (Jerrick) Weston of Sebring, FL, Denise Mullins of Avon Park, FL, Kimberly (Will) Coons and Michelle Mullins both of Grayson, KY; two brothers:  Larry Mullins of South Point, OH and Eddie Mullins of Rush, KY; two sisters:  Carolyn “Buck” Griffith of Rush, KY and Loretta Faye (Harold) Roberts of South Point, OH; 15 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The funeral will be on Wednesday October 30, 2013 at 1 PM at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY.  Burial will follow in Coalton Community Cemetery in Rush, KY. The visitation will be on Wednesday from 11 AM until funeral time at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to aid in final expenses.  Condolences may be sent to BaileyFamilyFuneralHome.com.
