Donald Lee Moore

Donald Lee Moore, 86, of Flatwoods, KY, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Logan Elm Health Care in Circleville, OH, surrounded by his loved ones.

Mr. Moore was born January 17, 1937, in Ashland, KY, to the late Richmond Moore and Jennie Robertson Moore.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his two brothers: John and Kenneth Moore.

Mr. Moore was a machinist and foreman for C&O and CSX in Raceland, KY. He was a 1956 graduate of Ashland High School and served in the Army National Guard for over eight years. He was a member of IAM (International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers #769) and the First Baptist Church in Russell, KY. Don was an avid gardener who loved spending time in his garden and flower beds.

Mr. Moore is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Charlotte Renfroe Moore of Flatwoods, KY; his daughter, Linda (David) Tipton of Ashville, OH; a niece, Diana Moore of Ashland, KY; and a host of extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY, with Rev. Ken Gowin and Deacon Roger McCaleb officiating. Entombment will follow at Ashland Cemetery in Ashland, KY.

Visitation will be one hour before the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
