Dorcas Ruth Hammond Zaghawski

Dorcas Ruth Hammond Zaghawski, 53, of Worthington, KY, went to be with our Lord and Savior on May 15, 2022, at her residence. Dorcas was born on August 7, 1968, in Madison, WI, to Lloyd Hammond of Morehead, KY and Gloria Poland of Raceland, KY. In addition to her parents, Dorcas is survived by her husband of 28 years, James Ernest Zaghawski of Worthington, KY; two sons Kevin (Kellie) Winn of Salem, OH, Canaan Christian James Zaghawski of Worthington, KY; two daughters, Maitland Michelle Zaghawski and Rachel Lynn Zaghawski both of Russell, KY, three grandchildren; a brother, Timothy Hammond of Enid, OK; a sister, Tonda (James) Barger of Logansville, GA; and a host of extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by a brother, Christian Hammond. Dorcas was an administrative assistant and CFO for New Horizons (Logistics and Construction). She was an avid elephant lover and advocate. She was a coffee connoisseur. She surrounded herself with everything purple and couldn’t wait to stick her toes in a sandy beach, especially on Tybee Island, Georgia. She received an associate degree in criminal justice from Mountwest Community & Technical College in Huntington, WV. Dorcas was like a mom to all. She was also a woman of great spiritual faith, putting God and her family above all else. She attended Faith Christian Assembly (FCA) in Flatwoods, KY. Visitation will be 12 P.M. – 1 P.M. on Monday, May 23, 2022, at FCA with funeral services to be held immediately after visitation; Pastor Dwight O.
