Dordeana Fairchild Carraway

Dordeana Fairchild Carraway, 76, of Flatwoods, KY passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at her home. Dordeana was born March, 1, 1941 in Cattletsburg, KY to the late Alfred Walthen and Alice Jewell Greene Fairchild. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband George A. Carraway. Ms. Carraway was a member of the Hillendale Homemakers Club and enjoyed designing and teaching ceramics. She also loved helping with her grandchildren and keeping her family together. Ms. Carraway is survived by her five daughters: Paula (Jeff) Patton of Raceland, KY; Patricia (Shawn) Melvin of Ironton, OH; Pam Carraway of Ashland, KY; Penny (Buddy) Patrick of Boyd, KY; Paige (Bobby) Cox of Flatwoods, KY; seven grandchildren: Penney, Ashley, Courtney, Alec, Matthew, Josh, Ethan; two great grandchildren, Bethanie and Makayla; and Coco (the family dog). Funeral Service will be held at 12 p.m. Friday, July 28, 2017 at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY with Elder Jimmy Adkins officiating.
