Dorothy Boggess

Dorothy Boggess, 82, of Ashland passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Kings Daughter’s Medical Center after an extended illness. Dorothy was born July 10, 1933 in Ashland, KY to the late Samuel and Jennie Mayberry Renfroe. Left to cherish her memory is her children Roberta (Lewis) Fannin, Nancy Stephens, Terry (Sharon) Hensley, Marsha (Larry) Harr, Ronnie (Brenda) Boggess, and Sam (Wendy) Boggess; siblings Armond (Doris) Renfroe, Dixie Conwill, and Charlotte (Don) Moore; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Emmett E. “Junior” Boggess, Jr.; siblings Elmer and Jacqueline Renfroe; and a grandson Stephen Hensley. A funeral service will be held at Bailey Family Funeral Home – Flatwoods, KY at 1pm on Tuesday, May 3, 2016. Friends may call from 11am – 1pm. Burial in Ashland Cemetery.
