Edna Maxine Oliver

Edna Maxine Kirk Oliver, 92, of Argillite, KY, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loved ones.

Ms. Oliver was born on November 26, 1930, in Flatwoods, KY, to the late Jessie “Tom” and Ollie Dehart Kirk.

In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her loving husband, Beckham Oliver, a son, Danny G. Oliver; and her special companion, Bill McClure.

Ms. Oliver was a retired, self-employed, nurse aide and a member of the Faith Christian Assembly in Flatwoods, KY.

Edna is survived by a son, Barry W. Oliver of Argillite, KY; two grandchildren, Jason (Susan) Oliver of Flatwoods, KY, and Ashley (Matthew) Winn of Chattanooga, TN; one great-grandchild, Isabella Oliver; a brother, Russell Kirk of Raceland, KY; two sisters, Marie Perkins, and Shirlene Moore both of Flatwoods, KY; and a host of extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at noon on Friday, July 7, 2023, at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY, with Pastor Dwight Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Russell, KY.

Visitation will be one hour before the funeral service on Friday at the funeral home.
