Elizabeth Ann Barker

Elizabeth Ann Kinner Barker, 79, of Worthington, KY, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2023, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY.

Mrs. Barker was born April 12, 1944, in Cincinnati, OH, to the late David Butler Kinner and Lois Eileen Hensley Kinner.

In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kenneth Barker; her son, David Keith Barker; and niece, Lori Ann Blair.

Elizabeth was a homemaker and a 1962 graduate of Greenup Independent High School.  She was active in the Greenup County and State 4-H Club. She was involved in 4-H throughout her lifetime and received numerous awards for her volunteerism. She was also a charter member and founder of the Riverview Homemakers Club. She worked in the Boyd County Extension Office, Piecegoods and was a co-owner of Calico Basket. Elizabeth was also a member of the PTA as well as the Greenup Presbyterian Church in Greenup, KY.

Mrs. Barker is survived by her daughter, Lisa Barker of Worthington, KY; two granddaughters, Amy Elizabeth (Morgan) Stephens of Cythiana, KY and Kendal Renee Barker of Worthington, KY; three great-grandchildren: Ashlynn Rose Stephens, Kennadi Brynn Siders, and Everly Ann Siders; her sister, Jean Kinner Blair of Leander, TX; nephew, Taylor (Angela) Blair of Leander, TX; two great-nieces, Emily and Catherine; and a host of extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 3 P.M. on Friday, August 4, 2023, at Greenup Presbyterian Church (206 W. Main Street, Greenup, Kentucky 41144) with Rev. Jack Edwards officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Greenup County 4-H Council (35 Wurtland Avenue, Wurtland, KY 41144).

The family has entrusted Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY, with the arrangements.
