Estelle Jane Ward

Estelle Jane Gambill Ward, 83, of Flatwoods, KY passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY. Mrs. Ward was born on June 8, 1933 in Ashland, KY; a daughter of the late John Gambill and the late Bernice Fraley Gambill Brown.  Jane was also preceded in death by her husband, Orville "Lefty" Ward, a son, Jim Ward, and a sister, Ruth Ann Blanton. Jane was a homemaker and had worked at the Kanouse Drug Store in Flatwoods, KY. She attended the former First Christian Church in Russell, KY.  She enjoyed dancing, quilting, and cooking. Mrs. Ward is survived by her son, John Ward of Flatwoods, KY, two grandchildren: Thadd Ward and Joe Ward, both of Flatwoods, KY; two great grandchildren: Ian Gehringer and Cassidy Franklin-Dutton; a nephew, Jim Blanton of Louisville, KY, several cousins, and her two dogs, whom she loved dearly, Chico and Boppy. Private services will be held at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY with Rev.
