Gidget Gallion

R. Gidget Thornton Gallion, 65, of Greenup, KY passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at her residence. Ms. Gallion was born on May 15, 1949 in Ashland, KY, a daughter of the late Howard and Emma Mae Shabdue Thornton. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Pete Thornton. She was self-employed match maker. Ms. Gallion loved her animals and gardening.  She was a 1967 graduate of Russell High School. She is survived by two daughters:  NoLa Lee Gallion of Prichard, WV and Angela Noelle Vallance, and her husband Steve of Gahanna, OH; two grandchildren: Devin Lee Via and Tiffany Gabrielle May; three brothers:  Alvin, and wife, Kay, Thornton of Ironton, OH; Ray Thornton of Ironton, OH; and Jack, and wife, Ruth, Thornton of Savannah, GA; two sisters:  Marlean Hodges of Worthington, KY and Melinda Johnson of Greenup, KY.
