FLATWOODS — Glen C. Ritter, 80, of Flatwoods, passed away Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, at his home surrounded by his loving family.Mr. Ritter was born Feb. 27, 1931, in Guymon, Okla., a son of the late Everett and Lillie Albrecht Ritter. He was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Robert M. Powell in 2008; a granddaughter, Erin Steward in 2010; two great-grandchildren, Rodney Eugene Dunn and Luke Aaron Dunn; and two brothers, Loyal and Eldon Ritter. Mr. Ritter was a retired 2nd Furnaceman with AK steel and a member of the Russell First Baptist Church.He is survived by his precious wife of 61 years, Norma James Ritter; two sons, Douglas Ritter of Ashland and Frederick Ritter of Oklahoma; a daughter, Marilyn Powell of Flatwoods; three grandchildren, Aubrey Breeding, Jesse Lee Ritter and James Ritter; three great-grandchildren, Alex Breeding, Sarah Dunn and Megan Dunn. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, at Russell First Baptist Church with Pastor Ken Gowin officiating. Burial will follow in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods.The viewing will be from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.
