Harold Lloyd Salyers

Harold Lloyd Salyers, 72, of Argillite, KY, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on July 12, 2013 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY. Mr. Salyers was born April 1, 1941 in Greenup County, KY; a son of the late Garland and Eva Patton Salyers.  He was also preceded in death by two sons; Brian Keith Salyers and Lloyd Keith Salyers. Mr. Salyers was a guideman for Kentucky Electric Steel, where he worked for over 33 years.  He was a member of USW Local 754, and a Kentucky Colonel.  He enjoyed gardening, and between Uncle Sonny and himself all things could be accomplished. He is survived by his loving wife of over 53 years, Phyllis Salyers; a daughter, Patty Salyers of Argillite, KY; a son, Mark (Marla) Salyers of Flatwoods, KY; a sister, Virginia Conley of Flatwoods, KY; and eight grandchildren:  Shane (Kaleigh) Salyers, Cole Coburn, Caitlin McCleese, Maddison Salyers, Mason Salyers, Makenna Salyers, Harley Salyers, and Matthew Salyers. Visitation will be on Monday, July 15, 2013 from 6 until 9 PM at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY.  Internment will be at a later date.  Condolences may be left for the family at BaileyFamilyFuneralHome.com.
