Harold Woodrow Kirk, 79, of Flatwoods, KY, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2019, at Boyd County Nursing and Rehab in Ashland, KY. Mr. Kirk was born September 16, 1939, in Columbus, OH to the late Harold Houston and Virginia Lee Whitlock Kirk. In addition to his parents, Mr. Kirk was preceded in death by his loving wife of almost 60 years, Barbara Ann Deaver Kirk and one brother, Thomas Kirk. Mr. Kirk was a truck driver for Sitton Motor Line and a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a sunday school superintendent, teacher, and charter member of Mount Zion Apostolic Church in West Portsmouth, OH as well as a member of Calvary Apostolic Lighthouse Church in Wurtland, KY. Mr. Kirk is survived by his four sons, Steven (Choya) Kirk of Columbus, OH, Harold Kirk of Anderson, IN, Daniel (Toni) Kirk of Joplin, MO, and Benjamin Kirk of Oklahoma City, OK; six daughters, Kathyran Kirk of Albany, OH, Victoria Gabrielson of Hickory, NC, Sandra (Robert) Wachenschwanz of Albany, OH, Melissa Randolph of Joplin, MO, Naomi Kirk of Albany, OH, and Abigail Kirk of Oklahoma City, OK; fourteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Walter (Mable) Kirk of Piqua, OH and Charles (Ruby) Kirk of Columbus, OH; a special friend, George Roach; and a host of extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace, OH.
