Harry Bailey Jr

Harry Bailey Jr., 87, of Wurtland, KY, went home to be with the Lord at his residence on Monday, July 15, 2013. Mr. Bailey was born on June 19, 1926 in Flatwoods, KY, a son of the late Harry Bailey Sr. and Martha Short Bailey.  He was preceded in death by his daughter and son-in-law: Judith and Butch Erwin; a grandson, Steven Lee Erwin; 5 brothers: Clarence, Hiram, Paul, Homer, and Howard Bailey; 6 sisters:  Ruby Kirk, Gertie Puckett, Opal Marion, Mary Greene, Mabel Puckett, and Lullabelle Barnett. Mr. Bailey was a contractor, cabinet maker, and a clerk for C&O Railroad.  He was a Pastor for over 30 years, was used mightily by God, and touched many lives.  He was a member of Wurtland Church of God. He is survived by his loving wife of over 27 years, Vicki Bowen Bailey; 2 sons:  David (Donna) Bailey of Russell, KY, and Jonathan (Rebecca) Bailey of Wurtland, KY; 4 daughters:  Rita (Joe) Robinson of Ashland, KY, Myra (Larry) Erwin of Wurtland, KY, and Valoria (Duane) Bailey Rucker, Jill (John Robert) Cumpton Miller of Flatwoods, KY; a brother, Jack Bailey of Flatwoods, KY; 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, a very special tiny companion, Izzy; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. The funeral will be at 11 am, Friday, July 19, 2013 at Faith Christian Assembly in Flatwoods, KY with Rev. Jonathan Bailey, Rev. S.L. “Butch” Erwin Jr., and Rev. Brian Montgomery.  Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods, KY.
