Helen Wanda Greene, 86, of Ashland, KY, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2013 at Boyd County Nursing Home following an extended illness. Helen was born April 11, 1927, in Flatwoods, KY, a daughter of the late Squire and Pearl Gearheart White.  She was also preceded in death by her husband of over sixty two years, Linzey Ray Greene, a daughter, Brenda Lafferty, and several brothers and sisters. Helen was a charter member of Hoods Creek Freewill Baptist Church in Ashland. She is survived by her children:  Kay (Cliff) White of Rittman, OH, Sandy (George) Eskew of Cary, NC, Linzey Ray Greene, Jr. of Ashland, KY, and Rebecca (Pat) Carter of Grayson, KY.  She has one surviving sister, Ruth Blythe of Sebastian, FL, 11 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 5 step great grand children. Funeral services will be at 11 AM on Monday, December 2, 2013 at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY with Pastor Sheldon Wheeler officiating.  Burial will follow in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods, KY.
