CRUM James Howard, 84, of Lexington, KY, went to be with his Saviour, Sat, Jan 28, 2012. He passed away at Trinity Station Retirement Community in Flatwoods, KY, where he and his wife were currently residing. Mr. Crum was born May 28, 1927 in Grayson, KY, a son of the late Arthur Crum and Nola Gullett Terry. He was preceded in death by several siblings. He was a WW II Army Veteran, retired as a Chief Warrant Officer and Guided Missile Officer. He also retired from GE Sylvania as an Engineering Supervisor and was a retired Baptist Minister. While in the military, Mr. Crum received a law degree and electronics degree. He also received a Theology Degree from Ashland Ave. Baptist Seminary in Lexington, KY. He was a charter member of Blue Grass Chapter of Retired Officers Association. He also pioneered and was a charter member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Lexington, KY. In the early 60s he pioneered one of the first Baptist Churches in Milwaukee, WI, and the church is presently active. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathryn Adkins Crum; three sisters, Gwen (Albert) Hall of Lexington, KY, Alice Faye (Jay) Sexton and Linda (Don) Pond all of Middleburg, FL; a brother Woody (Brenda) Terry of Ohio and a host of family and friends. The funeral will be at 2pm, Tue, Jan 31, 2012 at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY with Rev. Foy Back, officiating. Burial will follow in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods, KY.
