James Kevin Oney

James “Kevin” Oney, 45, of Ashland, KY passed away Monday, March 18, 2013 at Cornerstone Hospital in Huntington, WV. Mr. Oney was born May 23, 1967 in Ashland, KY to Jo Ann Cordle Oney and the late James Deran Oney. He was a stockman for Dollar General, a member of Hensley Hollow Pentecostal Church in Flatwoods, and a 1986 graduate of Boyd County High School. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of twenty three years, Connie Sue England Oney; a daughter, Courtney Sueann Oney, and a son, James Christopher Oney both of Ashland; two grandchildren: Jasmine Lashae Crum and Braxton Lee Childers; a sister, Brenda Oney of Lexington, KY; a brother, Mark Allen (Tara) Oney of Ashland, KY and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The funeral will be at 1 PM on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY with Minister Gaylord Cordle and Rev. Jimmy Morrison officiating.  Burial will follow in McKnight Cemetery in Ashland, KY. The visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
