Jerry David Williams

Jerry David Williams, 71, of Wurtland, KY, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY.

Jerry was born November 22, 1953, in Ashland, KY, to the late Elvie Williams and Lillian Ruth Gambill Williams. 

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Sue Williams McKenize.

Mr. Williams was an Electrician for CSX with IBEW Local # 1625 and spent the last eighteen years of his career in Corbin, KY. He was a United States Navy Veteran who served aboard the U.S.S. New Orleans. He graduated from Raceland High School in 1971 and attended Russell First Baptist Church. Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters who he loved dearly.

Mr. Williams is survived by his loving wife of forty-three years, Judy Lynn Bonner Williams of Wurtland, KY; his son, Matt (Dora) Williams of Wurtland, KY; two granddaughters, Morgan Clifton and Cassie Williams both of Wurtland, KY; and a host of extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY with Pastor Ken Gowin officiating. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast in Greenup, KY.

Visitation will be from 9 A.M. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
