John R. "Pap" Brown Sr., 76 of Russell, KY died Monday, January 14, 2012 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY. Mr. Brown was born December 22, 1936 in Culver, IN, a son of the late Robert Avert and Grace Margaret Garner Brown. He was a retired tractor trailer owner operator, and an Army veteran. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Neva M. George Brown; three sons: Tim and Hazel Brown of Olive Hill, KY, John and Stacey Brown Jr. of Seattle WA, and Robert Mark and Kristina Brown of Greenup, KY; two daughters: Jodie Hicks of Russell, and Beth and Darell Oliver of Portsmouth, OH; a brother, Max and Dee Brown of Kokomo, IN, and a sister Grace Marie and Allen Miller of Rochester, IN.  He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A memorial service and Military Rites will be scheduled at the family’s convenience.
