Josephine Barker

Josephine Horn Barker, 87, of Greenup, KY, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her family. Mrs. Barker was born September 25, 1928, in Wurtland, KY; a daughter of the late Joseph and Junie May Horn.  She was also preceded in death by her husband of fifty five years, Douglas Barker; a son, Buddy Barker; a granddaughter, Laura Sue Williams; two great grandchildren: Logan Pennington and Dwayne Horsley; and several siblings. Mrs. Barker was a homemaker and a member of Wurtland Church of God in Greenup, KY. She will be sadly missed by four sons: Sonny (Joyce) Barker of Summerville, SC, Larry (Bernice) Barker of Greenup, KY, Steve (Susie) Barker of Greenup, KY, and Chester (Louis) Barker of Flatwoods, KY; five daughters:  Joyce (Donald) Nelson of Argillite, KY, Jean (Jerry) Bullion, Carol (James) Bullion, Kay (Phillip) Bullion and Rosemary (Bobby) Melvin, all of Greenup, KY; one great granddaughter, whom she raised, Katelin Bullion of Greenup, KY; 28 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, 14 great great grandchildren; and two brothers: Chester Horn and John (Sis) Horn, both of Greenup, KY. The funeral will be at 12 PM on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Wurtland Church of God in Greenup, KY with Bishop Henry Montgomery officiating.  Burial will follow in Danleyton United Baptist Cemetery in Greenup, KY.
