Joyce L. Lemley, 85 of Ashland, KY, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Wurtland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wurtland, KY surrounded by her family. Mrs. Lemley was born July 14, 1932 in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late William "Dock" and Laura Johnson Smith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, E.E. "Dick" Lemley, four sisters, and one brother. Mrs. Lemley is survived by one brother, Jimmy Smith of Montana; three nephews, Fred Chinn of Ashland, KY, Mike Crace and his wife, Barbara of Greenup, KY; and Rick Crace of Proctorville, OH. She is also remembered by the hundreds of children she taught at June Conn Dance School. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at Catlettsburg United Methodist Church in Catlettsburg, KY with Pastor Chuck Allen, her pastor for many years, officiating. She will be entombed at Rose Hill Burial Park beside her husband. Visitation will be at 12 p.m. on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to her church in her memory.
