Karen Louise DeSalvi

Karen Louise DeSalvi, 72, of Ironton, OH, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY.

Karen was born March 7, 1952, in Ashland, KY, to the late Lucy Keeton Honaker.

In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dean DeSalvi; and a sister, Ellen Kisor.

Karen was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, church family, and fur babies, Gus and Little Bit. She was a member of the First Apostolic Church of Flatwoods. 

Karen is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Shawn) Spinda of Ashland, KY; two grandchildren, Katlyn Spinda of Pittsburgh, PA and Ryan (Laney) Spinda of Worthington, KY; two brothers, Arley Honaker of Coal Grove, OH and Garrett (Mary) Honaker of Maysville, KY; a sister, Anna Rose McNeill of Coal Grove, OH; and a host of extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY, with Pastor Harold McKenzie officiating.

Visitation will be one hour before the service on Sunday at the funeral home.

In honor of her miraculous life, the family will gather at the Flatwoods Senior Center (2513 Reed Street, Flatwoods, KY 41139) on Monday, December 23, 2024, at 3 P.M.
