Kay F. (Copley) Stephens, 72, of Ashland, went home to be with Jesus on the beautiful summer day of Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY. Ms. Stephens was born June 23, 1940 in Greene County, PA.  She was a daughter of the late Darsey L. and Sara Lingenfield Robinson.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, James M. Stephens. Ms. Stephens was a nanny to all whom she cared for, and was a member of Apostolic Church of God in Ironton, OH. She is survived by three sons:  Mike Copley of Ashland, J.R. (Jennifer) Copley of Lexington, KY, and William (Candi) Copley of Ashland; five daughters:  Mary Ann Harlee of Port Saint Lucy, FL, Janet (Carl) Sikes of Greenup, KY, Virginia (Sean) Freeman, of Ironton, OH, Ruth (fiancé Matt Mencer) Rupp of Smithton, PA, and Erma Lee (Rexall) Ferguson of Ashland, KY; twenty four grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.  The funeral will be at 1 PM on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY.  Burial will follow in Ashland Cemetery.  The viewing will be from 11 AM until service time on Tuesday.  For online condolences and web-casting of the funeral, visit baileyfamilyfuneralhome.com.
