Kenneth Barker, 84, from Worthington, KY, recently resided at The Lantern at Morning Pointe in Russell, KY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 29, 2020.
Mr. Barker was born December 23, 1935, in Catlettsburg, KY, to the late Dennie and Bess Lockwood Barker.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Barker was preceded in death by a son, David Keith Barker; three brothers: Dennie, Don, and Phil Barker; and one sister, Barb Howard.
Mr. Barker was a member of the Iron Workers Local Union 769 for 35 years and a Korean War Army Veteran.
Mr. Barker is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Elizabeth Ann Kinner Barker of Worthington, KY; one daughter, Lisa Barker, Worthington, KY; two granddaughters, Kendal Barker of Worthington, KY and Amy Barker of Lexington, KY; two great-granddaughters, Brynn and Everly; one sister, Loretta (Paul) Clark of Lorain, OH; and a host of nieces and nephews that he dearly loved.
A memorial service will be held at 1 P.M. on Monday, February 3, 2020, at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY with Rev. Clell Lucas officiating. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East in Greenup, KY.
Visitation will be from 12 P.M. until time of service on Monday, at the funeral home.
