Kenneth Carl Hughes

Kenneth Carl Hughes, 57, of Raceland, KY, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Louisville East Post Acute Care in Louisville, KY.

Kenny was born March 16, 1967, in Ashland, KY, to John C. and Patrica Ann Gilley Hughes.

Kenny was a retail manager for various department stores throughout his career. At his last place of employment, he specialized in training the mentally handicap in the workforce.

In addition to his parents, Kenny is survived by his sister, Kristia (George) Cox of Catlettsburg, KY; two nephews, Joshua Cox and Branden (Hannah) Cox both of Catlettsburg, KY; one great-nephew, Liam Cox; and a host of extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 7 P.M. on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY, with Bro. Mark Day officiating.

Visitation will be from 5 P.M. to the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Kenny’s honor to the Community Hospice Care Center (2330 Pollard Rd, Ashland, KY 41101).
