Larry James Harris

Larry James Harris, 67, of Delaware, OH, formerly of Greenup County, KY, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2014, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Harris was born September 15, 1946, in Kitts Hill, OH, a son of the late Robert Earl and Edith Patton Harris. Mr. Harris served his country honorably with the Marine Corps during Vietnam War and was discharged in 1968.  He was a retired carpenter with Central Ohio Building Co.  He was a member of the Redmans Club of Delaware County, OH, and a member of VFW of Greenup County, KY. Mr. Harris is survived by his wife, Wilma Bullion Harris, a son:  James Michael Harris of Delaware, OH, and his wife, Veronica Bunting; a daughter:  Shirl Bennett of Radnor, OH and her husband, Jeffery; three grandchildren:  Brook Bennett, Dillion Harris, and Shandy Harris; a great grandchild: Cyler James Todd Harris; a sister: Patricia Johnson Carter of Carlisle, OH. The funeral will be at 1 PM on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY, with Paul Caudill officiating.  Burial will follow at Whitt Cemetery in Greenup County, KY. There will be visitation at Rodman-Snyder Funeral Center in Delaware, OH on Monday from 5 to 8 PM; and a visitation on Tuesday at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY from 6 to 9 PM.  Condolences may be sent to BaileyFamilyFuneralHome.com.
