Louis Douglas

Louis Douglas, 96, of Flatwoods, KY, passed away on August 31, 2024, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY.

Louis was born July 13, 1928, in Ironton, OH, to the late Louis Douglas and Della Carroll Douglas.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy Lewis Douglas, and five siblings: Elsie McFann, Edna Roberts, Bill Douglas, Jim Douglas, and Earl Douglas.

Mr. Douglas worked for Aris Tech Chemical in Franklin Furnace, OH. He enjoyed playing cards and could recite the Hoyle rules word for word. Louis loved fishing, especially in the Ohio River. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Louis is survived by his two children: Cynthia Franz of Ashland, KY, and Jeffery Douglas of Portsmouth, OH; step-children: Bill Reed, Connie Antis, Kathy Beyler, Neva Reed, and Dena Reed; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

The family has entrusted Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY, with the arrangements.
