Mackenzie R. Burkett, 29, of Greenup, KY, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025, in Ashland, KY.

Mackenzie was born August 25, 1995, in Ashland, KY, to Jim (Jerri) Ingles of Greenup, KY, and Cindy Burkett of Ashland, KY.

Mackenzie was preceded in death by a son, Joshua Burkett, a grandmother, Wilma Ingles, and a grandfather, Jerry Bullion.

Mackenzie was a Landscaper and Foreman for Lane’s Lawn Care. He was a jokester and enjoyed fishing, swimming, and mud running. He loved his babies and spending time with family and friends. He attended Christian Faith Outreach in Ashland, KY.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Riley Tussey; two daughters, Alissa McNeil and Lyric Peyatt; his fiancé, Brandy Peyatt of Ashland, KY; five brothers, William (Ashley) Jenkins of Greenup, KY, Robert (Lenae) Jenkins of Ashland, KY, Dylan (Sabella Davis) Burkett of Ashland, KY, Devon (Jaileen Street) Mays of Edmond, OK, and Gary (Lucretia Taylor) Lane of Ashland, KY; his grandparents, Donald Daniels of Webbville, KY, Dorothy Bullion of Greenup, KY, Tom Burkett of South Point, OH, and Brenda Burkett of Flatwoods, KY; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at noon on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY, with Pastor Gene Easterling and Asst. Pastor Markus Blake officiating. Burial will follow at Coalton Cemetery in Boyd County, KY.

Visitation will be from 10 A.M. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
