Marvina Hogan Tackett

Marvina Hogan Tackett, 60, of Flatwoods, KY, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. Mrs. Tackett was born December 5, 1958, in Russell, KY, to the late Virginia Lucille Rymer Hogan. In addition to her mother, Mrs. Tackett was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Hogan and two sisters, Nina Gaughf and Helen Fussell. Mrs. Tackett was a dedicated homemaker who loved to drive. She kept the roads hot. Mrs. Tackett attended Grace Baptist Church in Flatwoods, KY. Mrs. Tackett is survived by her loving husband of thirty-eight years, Lonnie Joe Tackett of Flatwoods, KY; one daughter, Tara (Sandra) Williams of Raceland, KY; three grandchildren: Jonathan Waddell, Hannah Deer, and Brenlee Deer; two great-grandchildren, Anaya and Abigail Waddell; one brother, Clarence Hogan of Hazel Park, MI; three sisters, Brenda Church of Lakeland, FL, Renea Enyart of Ashland, KY, and Angelia (Stephen) Smith of Cattletsburg, KY; one special daughter, Ruth Waddell of Ironton, OH; and a host of extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 12 P.M. on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Grace Baptist Church (2907 Greenbo Blvd., Flatwoods, KY 41139) with Pastor Marvin Boggs officiating.
