Mary Alice Cordle

Mary Alice “Muzz” Cordle, 90, of Flatwoods, KY, experienced a great homecoming on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at King’s Daughters’ Medical Center. Mrs. Cordle was born on February 16, 1924 in Flatwoods, KY; a daughter of the late Edward and Laura Potter McKenzie.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Albert Cordle; two sons: Cecil and Clarence Cordle; a daughter, Carole Crace; and three brothers:  Jim McKenzie, Carl McKenzie, and Jesse McKenzie. Mrs. Cordle was a homemaker and attended Pentecostal Holiness Tabernacle in Flatwoods, KY. She is survived by two sons: Calvin (Mary) Cordle of Greenup, KY and Carl Cordle of Flatwoods, KY; a daughter Connie (Jerry) Waddell of Russell, KY; eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren. The funeral will be at 1 pm on Friday, September 5, 2014 at King’s Way Church in Ashland, KY, officiated by her grandson, Minister Jason Banks.  Burial will be at Short White Oak Cemetery in Flatwoods, KY.
