Mary Frances Haner Lewis, 89, of Flatwoods, KY, passed away on June 3, 2021, at Kingsbrook Life Center in Ashland, KY.
Mrs. Lewis was born November 4, 1931, in Gallipolis, OH to the late Russell Lee and Frances Neal Haner.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by four brothers: Junior, Jim, Wendell, and Jerry Haner; and a sister Hilda Barcus.
Mrs. Lewis was a homemaker who loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and planting flowers and was a fantastic cook. Mary was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Lewis is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Elisha Lewis Jr. of Flatwoods, KY; two sons, Ray (Juda) Lewis of Ashland, KY and Roy “Newt” (Patricia) Lewis of Worthington, KY; two daughters, Mary “Cathy” (Steve) Smith of Flatwoods, KY, and Bendetta (Scott) Lanham of Flatwoods, KY; two grandchildren, Shawn Smith and Sophia Looney; two step grandchildren, Emily Wells and Corey Maggard; three great-grandchildren, Maddox Smith, Willow Smith, and Stella Looney; two step great-grandchildren, Kennedy Sterling and Caleb Cooksey; two great-great grandchildren, Harlen and Addy Maggard; three brothers, Buddy (Gladys) Haner, Kenny (Marsha) Haner, and Bob (Carolyn) Haner all of Gallipolis, OH; two sisters, Harriett Martin of Gallipolis, OH and Josie Mowery of Springfield, OH; and a host of extended family and friends.
The family has arranged a private graveside service with Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY with Rev. Jason A. Bailey officiating.
