Mary Roberta Hicks Greene

Mary Roberta Hicks Greene, 90, of Ashland, KY, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at Woodland Oaks Health Care in Ashland, KY. Roberta was born on February 22, 1932, in Ashland, KY to the late Allie Mander and Callie Wells Hicks. In addition to her parents, Roberta was preceded in death by her loving husband, Arlan Leo Greene; a brother, Jay Hicks; and three sisters: Janet Porter, Mae Akers, and Doris Fields. Mrs. Greene was a secretary for Ashland Oil in Ashland, KY for many years. She loved her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She was a member at Hoods Creek Freewill Baptist Church in Ashland, KY. Roberta is survived by her stepdaughter, Diana Lander of Tucson, AZ; three grandchildren, Rob (Susan) Kendricks of Ashland, KY, Joseph Kendricks of Tucson, AZ, and Mitzi Barr Farkas of Aiken, SC; three great-grandchildren: Joey, Amanda, and Aliza; and a host of extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 12 P.M. (noon) on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY, with Rev. Ray Stephens officiating. Interment will follow at Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery Northeast in Greenup, KY.
