Mazie Sylvia Evans-Brown

Mazie Sylvia Brewer Evans Brown, 81, of Flatwoods, KY, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Kingsbrook Lifecare Center in Ashland, KY.

Mrs. Brown was born on February 23, 1942, in Ashland, KY, to the late Hurldon and Opal Goddard Brewer.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her first husband, Clinton M. Evans; her second husband, Charles Brown; a son, Kenny R. Evans; five sisters: Jean Bradshaw, Carrie Stambaugh, Teresa Brewer, Shirley Scott, Pamela Cassady; and a granddaughter, Sarah Towler.

Mazie was a homemaker and an Ashland High School graduate. She was a member of Wurtland Church of Nazarene in Wurtland, KY.

Mazie is survived by a son, Hurldon M. (Eileen) Evans of Cape Coral, FL; daughter, Kimberly D. (Rick) Wilburn of Grayson, KY; eight grandchildren: Nick Evans, Christina Vaughn, Caryn Crowe, Christopher Towler, Nikki Towler, Hannah Towler, Joshua Wilburn, and Caleb Wilburn; several great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Irma Evans of Ashland, KY; and a host of extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at Noon on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY, with Pastor Caleb Wilburn officiating. Burial will follow at Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland, KY.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 A.M. to noon on Saturday.
