Mickie Perkins Fleming

Mickie Perkins Fleming, 83, of Flatwoods, KY, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY. Mrs. Fleming was born May 28, 1936, in Flatwoods, KY, to the late Alonzo and Lockie Diamond Sergent. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fleming was preceded in death by two husbands, James Earl Perkins and Tom Fleming; a son, Jeff Perkins; two brothers, Elwood and Arthur Sergent; three sisters, Arbelle Douglas, Kay Issacc, and Dorothy Helms; and her step-mother, Wanda Sergent. Mrs. Fleming was a homemaker and of the Christian faith. Mrs. Fleming is survived by her a son, John Perkins of Flatwoods, KY; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Johnny (Pat) Sergent of Ironton, OH and Paul Sergent of Wurtland, KY; three sisters, Linnie (John) Chandler of Flatwoods, KY, Patty (Rick) Spears and Anita Litteral both of Argillite, KY; and a host of extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 1 P.M. on Friday, June 7, 2019, at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY, with Rev. Lloyd L. Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods, KY.
