Neva Mae Nan George Brown

Neva Mae “Nan” George Brown, 75, of Russell, KY passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. Mrs. Brown was born on July 23, 1939 in Ashland, KY, a daughter of the late James Marcus George and the late Ruby Jo Glancy Sanders and step-father, the late Ted Sanders.  She was also preceded in death by her husband of fifty three years, John Richard Brown, Sr. Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and a member of King’s Way Ministries in Olive Hill, KY. Mrs. Brown is survived by three sons: Tim (Hazel) Brown of Russell, KY, John Brown Jr. of Seattle, WA, and Robert Mark (Kristina) Brown of Greenup, KY; two daughters:  Jodie Hicks of Russell, KY, and Beth (Darrell) Oliver of Portsmouth, OH; two brothers:  David M. (Barb) Sanders of Charleston, WV, and Ted (Cathy) Sanders of Lexington, KY; a sister, Mary Ruth (Joe) Moore of Worthington, KY; fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. There will be no public services.  Internment will be at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast in Greenup County, KY.
