Phyllis Jane Nolan Wells

Phyllis Jane Nolan Wells, 79, of Bellefonte, Ky, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at Harbor Healthcare of Ironton, Ohio. Mrs. Wells was born August 27, 1940, in Flatwoods, KY to the late Willard H and Mary Elizabeth Nolan. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wells was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gene Wells and three sisters: Ruby Fisher, Mary Alice Spears, and Virginia Lemaster; and a grandson, A.J. Wells. Mrs. Wells was a 1958 graduate of Russell High School, a manager at Byer INC. in Ashland, KY, and a Kentucky Colonel. Mrs. Wells is survived by two sons, David (Lori) Wells of Ironton, OH and Rusty (Debbie) Wells of Russell, KY; two daughters, Jane Wells of Ashland, KY and Beth (Mike) Sexton of Flatwoods, KY; eleven grandchildren: Jason Wells, Josie Wells, Erica Jane Edison, Megan Wells, William N. Wells, Meredith (Lee) Dickens, Kristen Sexton, Tanner Sexton, Drake Wells, Adia Wells, and Jameson Wells; four greatgrandchildren: Liam Dickens, Nora Ruth Dickens, Halley Grace Wells, and PJ Osbourne; two sisters, Thelma (Harold) Dillow of Flatwoods, KY and Anna Howell of Thomasville, GA; and a host of extended family and friends. A visitation will be held from 11 A.M. – 1 P.M. on Monday, January 20, 2020, at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY. There will be a private committal held at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East.
