Ray "Junnie"Edward Hensley

Ray "Junnie" Edward Hensley, 80, of Greenup, KY, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones.

Mr. Hensley was born November 29, 1943, in Ashland, KY, to the late Sigal Hensley and Dorothy Gertrude Williams Hensley.

In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Jean Hensley.

Mr. Hensley worked in electrical maintenance for Kentucky Electric Steel Company and was a minister of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed watching Westerns as well as buying and selling cars. He was a proud dad and grandfather that will be deeply missed.

Ray is survived by his loving wife of sixty-one years, Nancy M. Pruitt Hensley of Greenup, KY; two daughters, Regina Gail (Larry) Cordle of Wheelersburg, OH and Angela Hensley of Greenup, KY; four grandchildren: Sarah Meeks, Ronald Gene Meeks, Kelly (John) Webster, and Erika Cordle; four great-grandchildren: Gavin, Adrian, Killian, and Alex; one great-great-granddaughter, Harper Ray; Two brothers, Lowell Wayne Hensley of Argillite, KY and Alvin (Mary) Hensley of Greenup, KY; two sisters, Juanita (Don) Hart of Taylorsville, KY, Gloria (Phil) Garvin of Greenup, KY; and a host of extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY, with Ron Biars officiating. Burial will follow at Hensley Family Cemetery in Greenup, KY. 

Visitation will be from 11 A.M. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
